Wakefield Avenue, Sumner

A few years on from adding the slatted street fence, TAC Projects were called back to carry out extensive renovations to this original, pretty cottage in Sumner.

Ben Comber from StudioWell was engaged as the architect. He developed a clever layout that offered more light, headroom in the lean-to, a fresh kitchen and bathroom, and a better connection to the back yard.

TAC worked alongside Pocket Structural engineers to rebuild the entire rear end of dwelling from the foundation up. Any element in a fit state was kept intact, ensuring maximum cost efficiency for the clients and their budget.

The result is a finished space that feels fresh and contemporary – with timber exterior joinery and period trims help to keep the extension cohesive with the original cottage. TAC were proud to deliver the project within a tight timeframe, ready for the arrival of a new addition to the family!
